DOES YOUR BIKE NEED THE ICR ADAPTOR KIT?

We’ve grouped bike headsets into three types. Only bikes that meet the Type 3 criteria require the ICR Adapter Kit.

Type 1 - No internal cable routing

Compatible with the Pro seat standard front clamp (no ICR adapter required)

Type 2 - Cables that exit the headset dust cover.

Pro Seat / Combo: Requires ICR adapter kit
Pro EVO: Does not require ICR adapter kit

Type 3 - Cables that pass through headset spacers

Requires ICR adapter kit

IS THE ICR ADAPTER KIT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR BIKE?

The ICR Adapter Kit is compatible with almost all headset types featuring internal cable routing, but there are 2 key points to check:

1. Your bike’s spacers must have a flat surface to sit against the flat surface of the Shotgun spacer.

2. The alignment pins on your spacers must match the position of the alignment holes on the Shotgun spacer.

FAQ

Is this compatible with my ICR system?

The adaptor kit is compatible with most major ICR systems — but due to the variety of designs on the market, we can’t guarantee a fit for every setup.

Check your bike’s spacers and compare them with the Shotgun Split spacer shown above to ensure compatibility.

Do I need to disconnect my cables to install the ICR adaptor kit?

Nope, there's no need to touch your cables.
Installing the ICR Adapter Kit is as simple as swapping the front clamp on your Pro seat, then removing a spacer from your bike and replacing it with the Pro Split Spacer.

I have an older Pro seat, will this adaptor kit fit?

Yes, the adaptor kit is suitable for all generations of Pro seat

Do I still need 10mm of space on my headset to fit the ICR Adaptor Kit?

Yes. The fitting requirements for the ICR Adaptor Kit are the same as the standard Pro seat front clamp.
Your bike must have a standard 1 1/8th steerer and 10mm of clearance on the stem.

I have two bikes — one with ICR and one without. Can I use the ICR Adaptor Kit on both?

Yes. The ICR Adaptor Kit includes both:

- Split Spacer for your bike with internal cable routing (ICR)

- One-Piece Spacer for your bike with a standard headset

That means you can easily move your Pro seat between both bikes.

    I have been waiting for this! I have (and despise) icr on my cannodale moterra. Ive been using the seat with a home made adapter but it wasnt great. This is perfect. I had an issue with a previous headset clamp and shotguns customer service was great. Awesome company, with amazing products!
