The Shotgun 2.0 is your go-to frame mounted mtb child seat – with quick release for fast fitting & removal, 2 footpeg positions to grow with your child, and zero bike modifications required. With the 2.0 handlebars included, your little one is going to love hitting the trails riding up front.

Quick release – 30 seconds to fit, remove and swap between bikes after initial installation.

Designed for kids 18 months - 5 years

Designed for children 18 months - 5 years, up to 60lb / 27kg, with 2 foot peg positions to grow with your child.

Adjustable fit

Adjustable leg width, angle, saddle position, and 2 foot peg options – making it simple to get the perfect fit, and adjust as your child grows.

Fitted with protective rubber padding

With thick rubber padding, the Shotgun 2.0 seat is safe to use on carbon or alloy frames.

Handlebars included

        Will the Shotgun 2.0 seat fit my bike?

        The Shotgun 2.0 seat fits almost all modern analogue mountain bikes (front suspension required) – including bikes with steep, sloping or tapered top tubes. It’s even suitable for carbon frames. Visit our fitting guide for more detailed information on fitting the Shotgun 2.0 seat. 

        The Shotgun 2.0 seat is not suitable for electric bikes, or bikes without front suspension including road bikes, gravel bikes, some hybrid bikes, beach cruiser bikes, bikes with step-through or single tube frames, or old mountain bikes with brake cables running along the top or side of the top tube.

        Will the Shotgun 2.0 handlebars fit my bike?

        The Shotgun 2.0 handlebars fit 25.4mm, 31.8mm and 35mm handlebar diameters, and stems up to 75mm wide – with full rubber handlebar protection. Suitable for flat or riser handlebars.

        Will my child fit the Shotgun 2.0 seat?

        The Shotgun 2.0 seat is designed for kids 18 months - 5 years of age, and up to 60lb or 27kg. Visit our size guide to find out if your child is ready to ride up front.

          Mixed feelings

          I purchased the Shotgun 2.0 Combo for my husband for Father's Day to use with our 2 yo son. It is well made, was easy to install, and looks great. We have only used it a few times on mostly level terrain but so far our son LOVES it. However, our son just turned 2 and is in the 90th percentile for height, but happens to be mostly torso and head. My husband (who is not a small person) can just see over/around his helmet now, so I don't see us being able to use the shotgun seat for the next three years as I can't imagine in will be safe when our son is 4 or 5, especially on proper trails. I haven't tried it with my son but don't think I would be able to use it at all. My husband is 6', I am 5'5" and my son is 3' for reference, we all have long torsos, big heads, and shorter legs. My husband is currently using the Shotgun 2.0 on a hardtail Chromag, and my son has a Giro Scamp helmet.

          Additionally, I feel like our son can just reach the footpegs and his feet already seem snug in them width wise, as he has wide high-volume feet and we put him barefoot style shoes with a wide toe box to support proper foot development. He is currently in a toddler size 8 sneaker.

          My hope is that it will enable us to get out on some easy mountain bike trails as a family, but only time will tell if we are able to continue to enjoy this on more challenging terrain and as our son grows.

          Perfect Combo

          As a career bike industry professional, we were looking for a way to get back on our bikes with a toddler and this is exactly what we needed. Our daughter loves it and going for rides with us all the time. It’s a great position for her and still keeps the center of gravity the same.
